Reflecting on our milestones in 2024

We’re taking a moment to look back at what has been an eventful and productive year for Bnewable. From raising capital to growing our team and launching key initiatives, we’ve made steady progress toward our mission of accelerating the energy transition. Here’s a snapshot of what we achieved this year.

➡️ Growing our team of energy enthusiasts

In 2024, our team grew from 13 to 30 passionate energy enthusiasts, and we couldn’t be more thrilled—while also being slightly cramped in our current offices. It turns out that fitting 30 people in one picture is harder than we thought, but it’s a challenge we’ll gladly take as we keep welcoming amazing talent into the fold. Each new team member brings fresh ideas and perspectives that are helping us tackle the challenges of decentralized energy production with creativity and determination.
Let’s just say, with all this growth, we might soon need a little more space to stretch our legs… stay tuned!

➡️ Accelerating our battery storage projects pipeline

We reached 70 MWh of battery storage projects in our pipeline or under development this year. These include initiatives such as supporting logistics sites with battery storage to optimize energy flows, integrating systems at truck charging hubs to handle peak demand, and collaborating with resource-intensive industries to manage electricity costs and improve efficiency. ➡️ Successfully closing our capital round

We successfully raised €40 million in funding from our existing investors. Their continued confidence in our mission is a testament to the value we’re building together in the energy sector. This funding enables us to keep driving innovation, scaling our operations, and delivering impactful solutions for our clients. This achievement also earned us sixth place in the Agoria report on tech investments in Belgium for 2024, highlighting the growing importance of renewable energy solutions.
