Freelance People Specialist

In this key role you’ll be reporting to our legal counsel.

As our People Specialist, you’ll – among others – be responsible for Payroll, HR management and administration and office management:
- Be the first point of contact for employees on HR related questions.
- Oversee, structure and manage the entire payroll process in a rapidly expanding team. ensuring payroll is processed accurately and on time.
- Collaborate with our external payroll provider.
- Collaborate with the Legal Counsel on the definition and implementation of HR processes, policies and strategies that reflect the needs of our organisation.
- Ensure that all HR documents, such as contracts, policies and handbooks are up-to-date and compliant with relevant legislation.
- Communicate HR-related matters to staff.
- Assist the Recruitment department with HR-related queries: preparing contracts, calculating job offers.
- Update internal HR databases.
- Perform onboarding operational tasks: ensuring all necessary documentation is collected, ordering laptops, cars etc.
- Perform offboarding operational tasks ensuring compliance with company policies.
- Maintain and update employee records.
- Monitor the administration of insurance matters closely (claims, enrollments, contributions etc).
- Coordinate fleet and facilities.
- Contribute to the optimization of our work processes.
- Contribute to various hard HR projects.
- Filing HR & legal documents.
- Office management.
Your Profile.
To be successful in this role, you’ll need:
- a bachelor’s/master’s degree in Human Resources, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in HR payroll and administration, preferably in a fast-paced, international environment. (PC 200)
- experience with scaling HR and payroll processes in a growing company is a plus.
- understanding of the Belgian work legislation and payroll regulations in multi-regional environments.
- excellent organizational skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally.

- native fluency in Dutch and/or French and fluent in English, both oral and written.
